“The hands are the most important tool we have,” says Lorenzo Quinn.

Renowned for his monumental sculptures that explore themes of love, faith, and humanity’s relationship with nature, Lorenzo Quinn uses his art to address pressing global issues such as climate change and social justice. Working primarily with bronze and aluminium, Quinn is best known for his expressive, larger-than-life hands, which symbolise connection, creation, destruction, and, above all, the power of humanity to drive change.

Born in Rome, Lorenzo grew up immersed in both ancient Roman art and the fast-paced world of cinema. This upbringing shaped his artistic vision, which blends classical sculpture with modern sensibilities to deliver messages of empathy and unity.

Quinn’s sculptures, often showcased in public spaces worldwide, are designed to provoke emotional responses and foster dialogue. His famous piece “Support”, featuring giant hands emerging from Venice’s Grand Canal to “hold” a building, points out humanity’s dual role in both safeguarding and endangering the planet.

Through his impactful creations, Quinn bridges the ancient and modern, the personal and universal. His art resonates deeply with the timeless human experiences of love, vulnerability, and strength.
