The Moco Museum is located in the historic Villa Alsberg, a traditional townhouse on Museumplein. It was designed in 1904 by Eduard Cuypers, the nephew of Pierre Cuypers, who was responsible for the design of the Rijksmuseum and Amsterdam Central Station. The house was one of the first private residences on Museumplein and remained so until 1939. Take a moment to look around and notice the details. You may see that the original ceiling paintings are protected by a layer of glass.
